Kathak dance-UP? Please change it to Kerala.
superuser says
Kathak is evolved from word “Katha” which means story telling. Kathak dance form is also based on stories of Ramayana and instances of Mahabharat. This dance form belongs to north India is general and Uttar Pradesh in particular. Please do not confuse with Kathkali which belongs to Kerala.
